JOHN CARROLL CLASSIC & FIREWORKS SHOW

Alger, WA – Fireworks will light up the sky for the first time this year after the John Carroll Classic brought to you by IRI & The Follman Agency this Saturday May 25th. The KarMART Superstores 410 Sprint Car division continue their run at Skagit Speedway joined by the Sportsman Sprint Car Division and for their Skagit Speedway debut the Northwest Focus Midgets.

Through three races the KarMART Superstores 410 Sprint Cars have already seen three different winners. Trey Starks won on opening night, Colby Thornhill made the pass in lap traffic and most recently Landon Brooks dominated the field lapping all the way up to fifth place. In two appearances at Skagit Speedway this far, Brooks has a second place and now a win. Starks still leads the points battle over Robbie Price by 10 while Thornhill sits third 29 points back of Starks.

For the second week in a row the Sportsman Sprint Car Division joins the fun once again. Through their two races this season they also are yet to see a repeat winner. Alden Ostrom found victory lane on opening night but last Saturday Kai Dixon swept the night by being top qualifier, winning his heat race and then the feature. Through their two races this year Dixon leads Ostrom by eight points.

Making their debut at Skagit Speedway this year are the Northwest Focus Midgets. Last year Jared Peterson won the points title at Skagit Speedway by six points over Alex Peck. Peterson had four wins, at Skagit Speedway to go along with seven top fives, and seven top 10s. Peck had one win, 7 top fives, and nine top 10s, through nine races as well.
