Bristol, WI – April 15, 2014. Bill Balog and the B2 Motorsports team have been working hard this long, cold Wisconsin winter gearing up for another year competing at race tracks throughout the Midwest in 2014. Even with the snow fall yesterday, the team is looking to get the season underway this coming weekend with a couple events.
Bill and the B2 Motorsports team would like to welcome Rocky Rococo’s Pizza and Pasta located at 8300 Brown Deer Road in Milwaukee to an already stellar list of sponsors of the 17B sprint car. The team will start out the day at Rocky Rococo’s this coming Saturday, April 19th, as owner, John Degnitz is putting on the 1st ever “Salute to Racing” car show at his store from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There will be several cars on hand including Bill and the 17B sprinter along with a live radio broadcast of “Sparky’s Final Inspection” which will air from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sports Radio 1250 AM. There will also be an in-store special for a “Family Meal Deal” that includes 1 – one-topping pizza, 2 – orders of breadsticks, and 4 – medium sodas for the price of $19.74 in honor of Rocky Rococo’s 40th Anniversary. Fans can also register to win tickets to the Slinger Speedway, Oshkosh Speedzone, the Beaver Dam Raceway, the Wilmot Raceway, and the Great Lakes Dragaway. Bill, the B2 Motorsports Crew, and the 17B sprinter will be on site from 10:00 a.m. until just after noon as they will have to head north for the Interstate Racing Association’s season opener at the Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway in Oshkosh, WI. Fans please note that there is an early start time as hot laps will begin at 3:00 p.m. Bill will be looking for his 5th straight win at the third-mile speed plant.
The following week, Bill and the team will travel to the Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, WI on Saturday, April 26th for the annual Jim Wipperfurth Memorial Race. Bill and the B2 Motorsports team have taken home the hardware for this race the past two years.
