Inside Line Promotions – CLEVELAND, Texas (July 28, 2014) – Ray Allen Kulhanek capitalized on his test session at Bronco Raceway Park last Saturday.

“We went to try a couple of different things on the car,” he said. “We went out with a different brand of torsion bars to try something a little different to pick up more speed than what we’ve had. We stuck with the basics that I like to run most of the night, but made a couple of small adjustments. Everything just clicked really well on the car.”

Kulhanek dominated the night. After winning his heat race, he charged from fifth to the lead during the opening two laps of the main event en route to his second feature victory of the season.

“Everybody drove right through the middle and the top,” he said. “I went to the bottom and drove under everybody. By the time we got through turn one I was in third. After turns three and four I was in second. By the time we came into turns three and four for the second lap I took the lead and walked out on it.”

Approximately a dozen laps later Kulhanek could see the drivers who were chasing him when a caution occurred around Lap 13.

“I was going into turn three and the second, third and fourth drivers where coming out of turn four,” he said. “We took back off again and I ended up lapping the fifth-place car going to the checkers.”

Not only did Kulhanek get to test some different setup combinations, he was also able to gain confidence and seat time while the ASCS Gulf South Region is in the midst of a month off.

“I went there expecting to win and wasn’t going to be satisfied if we didn’t,” he said. “That’s the best car I’ve had in probably a couple of years. It was a prefect race car and we happened to hit it on the head. The car was spot on. I could go anywhere I needed to.”
