Inside Line Promotions – FORNEY, Texas (Sept. 22, 2014) – Travis Rilat will close out the ASCS Gulf South Region slate this Saturday at Battleground Speedway.
Rilat is searching for his fourth win of the season and his second at the track in Highlands, Texas, where he scored his first victory in the United States this year on May 3.
“We’ve had a lot of success at Battleground over the years,” he said. “It’d be great to win the ASCS Gulf South season finale and add another win in the column.”
Despite limited action, Rilat is tied for the most ASCS Gulf South Region victories this season with two. He also has six top fives and eight top 10s in 10 features with the region.
Additionally, Rilat has recorded a win at Battleground Speedway in each of the past three seasons and has at least one top five at the track every season for the past five years.
“Hopefully we can get a good draw and make it through our heat race with some good points on Saturday,” he said. “If we can get into the feature redraw I think we’ll have a good shot at picking up another win.”
