Inside Line Promotions – SARVER, Pa. (Sept. 23, 2014) – Big Game Motorsports driver Craig Dollansky is recovering from a back injury he sustained last weekend.

Dollansky was injured when another car collided with him while he led a World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series heat race at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, on Friday.

“The incident that happened in our heat race changed up our night and put us in a tailspin,” he said. “That incident injured my back. I was concerned as to why my back was injured because I didn’t think it was a bad enough crash to injure it.”

The Big Game Treestands car was unable to finish the heat race. Dollansky then won the Last Chance Showdown to transfer into the main event. He decided to pull into the pits early during the feature and was credited with a 24th-place finish.

“I’ve had some experience with some injuries,” he said. “It was enough pain I was definitely concerned. I went in for x-rays on Sunday and they found there were no fractures. It will heal up. It is feeling better each day.”

Following an adjustment to his seat, Dollansky tackled Lernerville Speedway on Saturday for the Commonwealth Clash with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series.

The Big Game Treestands car qualified eighth quickest for the second straight night and Dollansky placed third in his heat race to lock the team into the main event, which it started on the outside of the sixth row.

“It was a pretty solid night for us,” Dollansky said. “We were able to make our way toward the front. Unfortunately, I ran out of tear-offs with about five laps to go. That cost us a few positions. At the end I was just trying to make it to the checkered flag. On top of that my back had a lot of pain so it was taking a toll on me during the latter part of that race.”

Dollansky ended with a seventh-place result, which marked his 24th top 10 of the season.

The Big Game Treestands team is scheduled to race at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., this Friday and at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pa., on Saturday for the $20,000-to-win Dirt Classic.

“It’s our first time out there this year and we’re ready to go,” Dollansky said. “I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
