Inside Line Promotions – BISMARCK, N.D. (Oct. 23, 2014) – Andee Beierle spent the majority of her inaugural season in a full-size sprint car competing at the most prestigious race track in the country.

Beierle, who advanced from go-karts to mini sprints to modifieds with stints in midgets and legends cars, raced in the 305ci sprint car class at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, this year.

“Although we ran into a lot of mechanical issues throughout the season, we did get to run at the Sprint Car Capital of the World,” she said. “We met a lot of great people and we came out of the season in one piece.”

Beierle competed in an estimated 10 sprint car races this season and she looks forward to stepping up to the 360ci ranks next year at the famed half-mile oval. She will potentially compete in some 305 events as well, but the 19-year-old also has to juggle life as a sophomore at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

“This year was like dipping my toes into the water at arguably the best track in the country,” she said. “I didn’t get to race as often as I’d like and when we did compete we seemed to run into issues. I’m excited about racing there next year because if you can do well at Knoxville Raceway, where it is about as tough as it gets, it’s saying something.”

This season will wrap up on Nov. 27 at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, Calif., for the 74th annual Turkey Night with the USAC Honda National Midget Series. Beierle will race a midget for veteran Zach Daum, who is fresh off his second straight POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series championship.

“He seems really professional and knows what he’s doing,” Beierle said. “I think it’ll be a really good opportunity to work with him.”

Beierle, who said she has raced in approximately 10 midget races throughout the past four years, will also pilot a midget for Daum during the 29th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals Jan. 13-17.
