Inside Line Promotions – LONGVIEW, Texas (Nov. 24, 2014) – Tyson Hall will wrap up the season in his home state of Texas this weekend.
Hall is set to tackle the 5th annual Longhorn Shootout this Friday and Saturday at Resistol Arena in Mesquite, Texas, where he will compete in both winged and nonwing micro sprint competition.
“I think we’ve got a pretty good chance to win,” he said. “The car is pretty good and the motor is great as well.”
Hall will team up with car owner Tony Batt. The duo has raced together four times this season, which was highlighted by a pair of victories.
“I feel comfortable driving Tony’s race car,” he said. “I know we have a shot to win every time I climb in it.”
In addition to a handful of micro sprint races, Hall also raced in the Chili Bowl Nationals with a midget in January along with approximately 20 sprint car races this year. He finished 12th in the ASCS Gulf South Region championship standings and recorded a trio of top-five results.
“You have to change up the driving a little bit from the big sprint car to the mini sprint,” he said. “You just have to get up on the wheel.”
