Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (Nov. 25, 2014) – Brandon Hanks is planning on using the 2014 season as a building block for his racing career.

“From where we were last year to this year was a humongous step,” he said. “We’re 10 times better. We really, really moved forward and we were a lot more competitive than we’ve ever been.”

While Hanks wasn’t able to reach Victory Lane, he was noticeably competitive with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour the more he raced with the premier 360ci sprint car series. Despite a limited schedule, Hanks finished 11th in the championship standings – the highest of any driver who didn’t race full time.

“We had a really good year and if we make as big of a step next year as we did this year I wouldn’t doubt that we’ll finally find Victory Lane,” he said. “Hopefully more than once, too.”

Hanks led his first ASCS National Tour feature laps during the final weekend of the season and four of his 15 top-10 finishes this season were with the series. He also added seven ASCS National Tour heat race wins.

“I give our year a B-plus,” he said. “We won a lot of heat races and a lot of those were ASCS National Tour races. We’re a really young team and we’re trying to figure things out. We had a good year.”

Additionally, Hanks scored a pair of top-five results with the USCS.

“We made big gains throughout the year,” he said. “This season was a great foundation heading into next year. I want to thank my parents and all of our sponsors for their support and I look forward to more improvement next season.”

Hanks will kick off the 2015 season with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, which starts the year Feb. 19-21 at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Fla., for the Ronald Laney Memorial.
