Starks Planning on Australia, Pennsylvania and Big Events to Highlight 2015

Inside Line Promotions – PUYALLUP, Wash. (Dec. 17, 2014) – Trey Starks has big plans for 2015.

Starks will kick off the year by racing approximately a dozen times in Australia this December and January. It will mark his second straight year with a visit to the country.

“I will be in my own equipment in Australia so the only thing to adjust to will be the tracks,” he said. “I learned a lot a year ago when I went there so I’m looking forward to applying that knowledge this winter.”

Starks is slated to debut in the United States on March 4-5 at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas in Las Vegas with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series. He said he will also compete throughout the World of Outlaws West Coast swing in the spring before heading to Pennsylvania for several weeks of competition.

Additionally, Starks said his team will tackle the Knoxville Nationals, Kings Royal and National Open – the three biggest paying races each year – next season as well as numerous other special events throughout the Midwest and East Coast.

“It’s important to continue pushing ourselves against the best competition,” he said. “We went to Australia and Pennsylvania in 2014 on top of our normal schedule and we want to build on that in 2015.”

Starks added that he will partner with Doug Rutz for multiple events throughout the Northwest.

“I’m excited to team up with him again,” Starks said. “We had some success with him last year. There’s a great chance to pick up several wins in his stuff. We’re preparing as much as we can to have as successful of a season as possible. It does mean a lot running for the Rutz family as well.”

The goals for next season are to win and gain experience, the Washington native said.

“I want to continue to develop as a driver and I think our plan will help us achieve that goal,” he added. “It’s also important to win races. I’m gaining more confidence and more experience each year and I think that’s an important part of the equation that leads to Victory Lane.”
