Inside Line Promotions – FREMONT, Ohio (May 26, 2015) – Dale Blaney registered his 117th career UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions feature victory last Friday to highlight a tripleheader weekend for the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., sponsored team.

Blaney and the CH Motorsports team powered to a trio of top-five finishes during the three-race weekend, which began last Friday at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, Ind.

“We got really fortunate to qualify fourth in our set and that put us on the front row of a heat race,” he said. “We were about two one-hundredths from being fifth. It was really close. It worked out in our favor. We got a little better in the heat and a little better in the dash.”

Blaney won his heat race from the pole and then finished fifth in the dash to line up on the inside of the third row for the main event.

“I got (Logan) Forler on the first or second lap for fourth,” he said. “We had a yellow and I got (Cody) Darrah for third, then had another yellow and got (James) McFadden for second. I knew I could move around a little bit. Rico (Abreu) was in a tough spot. He was leading the whole race and didn’t have to move around to pass cars. I knew where I could take advantage of some guys. I made a good move and it stuck.”

Blaney drove the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., backed sprint car into the lead around the midpoint of the feature and cruised to the win during his debut at the track.

“That was a really little place and it was pretty slick and slow for most of the night,” he said. “We’ve got a pretty good base for that stuff. It was pretty neat to win in my first race there.”

The CH Motorsports team ventured to Fremont Speedway for a doubleheader, which kicked off on Saturday. Blaney qualified sixth quickest overall, but the five drivers who qualified quicker were also in his group.

“We had a really good first group,” he said. “I was the eighth really good car to go out and the track slowed down pretty dramatically.”

Blaney finished fifth in a heat race to miss locking into the feature by only one spot. He then won the B Main to transfer into the 21st starting position for the main event.

“We got a little better in the B Main and learned some things,” he said. “We salvaged a good night. Most of the passes I made I snuck around the bottom. I probably got 10 guys in the first five laps. The track was slicker than I’ve ever seen it. Then it took some rubber around the bottom about halfway through.”

Blaney rallied from 21st to a fifth-place result to garner the Hard Charger Award.

The weekend concluded at the third-mile oval on Sunday, when Blaney qualified 14th quickest before placing second in a heat race and third in the dash. That lined the Mainstream Holdings, Inc., sponsored team on the inside of the second row for the 50-lap feature.

“I hit a hole and it cost us a chance at a win,” he said. “I probably got in lower than what I should of and I really didn’t think it was going to do that. It hurt us a little bit. I never really felt that good after that.”

Blaney dropped from third to ninth place following the early incident, but he rebounded to post a third-place result.

“We got rolling pretty good in the middle of that race,” he said. “It was a fun race to watch between (Tim) Shaffer and McFadden. I just wish I could have been more of a part of it.”

Blaney is slated to compete this Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series; and on Saturday at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, and Sunday at Millstream Speedway in Findlay, Ohio, with the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions.
