Ashleigh Johnson Wins Second Straight SSP Restricted Micro Title

In 2014 Ashleigh Johnson was the Sunset Speedway Park champion in the Restricted Micro ranks. That season she just won once en route to her first career title. In 2015 Johnson would back her crown up with a second straight championship in the same class but this time with more feature victories.
“I couldn't have done it without all the support I had!” said the Ferndale, Washington teenager, “my parents, Jim Winger, Dylan Berg, and my sisters: Allison and Stephanie Johnson. I have to thank them all.”
The Highline Performance/Brien Ford/Edaleen Dairy/Stephanie Edson Photography/Hampton Auto Glass/Nymo Signs #0 D1 entry would grace victory lane on three occasions. May 2nd, June 27th, and July 11th would be the night's that she would be triumphant. Johnson also posted five top fives in eight starts. She would edge out Casey Smith by just eleven points in the final championship standings.
