Inside Line Promotions – ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa (April 26, 2016) – Jack Dover registered his first top five of the season last Friday at Rapid Speedway during the inaugural GoMuddy.com National Sprint League Tri-State Region event.

Dover’s first trip to the track in approximately four years began with him advancing from third to second place in a heat race, which locked him into the feature redraw. He then pulled the No. 6 to start the main event on the outside of the third row.

“We were trying to take the car easy for what the track conditions were,” he said. “There was a hole in turn one probably a foot deep. I freed the car up and my main goal was just to finish the race.”

Dover battled for a top five throughout the main event before posting a fourth-place finish.

“We went from 10th in our season opener to a fourth last weekend and I think our next race will be a first,” he said. “The results are getting better and we’re getting better.”

Dover is slated to return to competition this weekend when he will drive a 305ci sprint car for Chris Roseland on Friday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., and Saturday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb.
