Why is the Texas Outlaw Nationals show such an anticipated event? Devil's Bowl Speedway is where the first World of Outlaws sanctioned race took place when Ted Johnson started the national series in 1978. Jimmy Boyd took the win of this Devil's Bowl Speedway show on March 18th, 1978 in a non-wing car, nonetheless, for his one and only Outlaws win.
