Belleville, IL. (01/11/22) Continuing to grow in entries and excitement, while moving into the fourth full season of POWRi sanctioning competition, the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints have revealed their thirty-event 2022 season schedule. With five fantastic speed-venues hosting the tight-quarter racing that ranges from April until September as well as a pair of POWRi National Lightning Sprint events to entice competitors.
Opening the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprint 2022 racing season and staying true to traditions of over thirty years of Kansas City area racing, the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints will travel to I-35 Speedway, in Winston Missouri, for eight great racing nights racing from the first POWRi MLS visit on Saturday, April 16th to the season finale on Saturday, September 24th with the 3rd Annual POWRi MKLS vs MLS Border Battle.
Hosting a league-leading ten series events in 2022 will see Central Missouri Speedway, in Warrensburg Missouri, take center-stage for the POWRi Lucas Oil Midwest Lightning Sprint competitors as the home-track facility. Kicking off the year’s first series visit on Saturday, April 23rd with the final appearance of 2022 at CMS as the two-day event celebrating Labor Day Weekend on September 3-4, with excellent racing experiences scheduled in-between.
Adding to the yearly sprinting elation, Eldon Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway will try to contain the talents of POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints in four separate nights throughout the season on April 30, May 21, June 18, and August 6 at the ultra-racy one-third mile oval.
Doubling down on the POWRi Lightning Sprint National Events in 2022, with bonus incentives provided by Tomy Moreau courtesy of Henchcraft Canada, will see a pair of series host six national racing events to span the season of excitement.
Memorial Day Weekend, on May 28-29, will mark the continuation of the POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals hosted at Central Missouri Speedway by the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints.
Witnessing drivers make the long journey to the north for the second annual POWRi Lightning Sprint Summer Shootout. August 11th through August 14th, outstanding racing venues in North Dakota and Minnesota and the POWRi Lucas Oil Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints will welcome top-notch drivers to test their talents in a challenging two-state four-day sweep of racing glory.
