Rough Return to Lincoln For Darrah

PETERSEN MEDIA- Making his first appearance at his hometown track, Lincoln Speedway, Red Lion, PA native, Cody Darrah had a rather rough day during the tracks season opening event, that eventually saw him get scored with a 24th place finish in the feature event.

The day time event in Central PA was wild from the get-go for Darrah who was behind the wheel of a Darrah Motorsports/J&K Salvage/Eichelberger U-Pull It/Factory Kahne Shocks entry.

During heat race action, the World of Outlaw regular was working his way through the field, and began battling Danny Dietrich for the fourth spot.

As the duo battled for the spot, contact was made, ending the race for Darrah, he was scored in the sixth spot, and transferred into the feature event.

Lining up for the feature, fate would line the two drivers up next to each other for the 30-lap event.

The feature would ultimately require four attempts at a green flag, but unfortunately Darrah fell victim of circumstance of a failed attempt, as he was collected with a pair of spinning cars ahead of him, ending his day before it really got started and scoring him with a 24th place finish.

“It was a frustrating day, at a track I really enjoy,” explained Darrah. “I think we had a good car, and in our heat we kind of got snookered, so that put us deep in the feature, and in the feature I tried to get through a wreck and it didn’t work out too well for me. I have to thank my family and all of our supporters for putting this deal together. I am very excited to get out here and compete in PA a little more this year.”

Darrah will be back behind the wheel of the same entry in Central PA when his World of Outlaws schedule allows.

ON TAP- Cody Darrah and his Kasey Kahne Racing team will now head west for the entire month of March, as they are next in action March 8th 2012 at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas.
