Gearing Up for 2012

Gearing up for 2012
After a successful 2011 season the 17b team has been working to improve on last year’s results with many hours spent in the shop preparing a brand new race car with an updated engine and lighter part’s as well as a back-up car. In the constant search for reliability and power both Maxim Chassis will be housing Parker Engines for 2012.
A few schedule changes will be happening in the coming weeks as Bill is always looking for race dates to fill the summer months. After a good showing at the Chili Bowl with a preliminary A main appearance, Bill is scheduled to race several Sundays at Angell Park in Sun Prairie, WI in the Amy and Bill Ecker owned #57 Spike midget, “I am very excited to branch out and run some more midget events with these guys, they know how to race hard and have a good time.” Bill commented.
Along with a nearly full IRA ( Interstate Racing Assoc ) schedule the 17b is working on trying to make several MOWA (Midwest Open Wheel Assoc ) events as well as a few Knoxville dates including the Knoxville Nationals, providing the team can find tire sponsorship for these events. With the cars coming together and the air warming up the crew members are starting to get anxious to load up and head out.
