While chatting with Brian Prior, the Senior Merchandise and Product Manager at Simpson/Stilo/Hans a couple of weeks ago during the SEMA MPMC Conference, we discussed how one of the final aspects of getting a race car on the track for the season is making sure both the car and driver are equipped with proper safety gear.
The conversation ranged from why a proper fitting racing suit is important to the differences between single or multi-layer jackets and the Hans head restraint device. While we will be sharing information on all of the above we had to pick a place to start and the Hans head restraint is an original, innovative product that is imperative to use correctly. As there are new drivers every day using a head restraint for the first time, we thought the FAQs found on the Hans website would be important to highlight. To that end, Brian was also kind enough to share a fully illustrated document that racers can download and print, especially handy for those teams that will be at a track with limited internet service and may have questions while adjusting the device in the pits.
