Ready for Release: 2022 Hamlin Speedway Season Schedule
Lots of great things are happening this coming season at Hamlin Speedway!
Our season begins in April with bug day on 9th and opening day on April 16th. We have 21 scheduled events in the season with two off weeks for vacations on June 25 & August 20.
Two challenge series have been added this season!
#1 - The Rising Star Series for the Junior Slingshots, three races with dual heats and Feature line ups based on points paying $500 to Win with 15 cars or more entered! Thanks to Tom Dembak for helping out to sponsor this challenge for our Stars of Tomorrow! If anyone is interested to help sponsor this special - please let me know.
And #2- The Top Dog Series for the Stage One Modifieds, three races with dual heat, passing points, paying $600 to Win with 15 cars or more entered! Thanks to Protek Roofing, Rob Tete, for sponsoring this series in 2022!
Both challenge series will award the Top 3 point finishers after the final events in August with bonus cash and Top Dog prizes!
On the 4th of July weekend - we will host our annual Vetstock Benefit / Fundraiser for our local veterans along with the Firecracker 50 for the All Star Slingshots, including a pit stop challenge! With 24 or more entries - this race will pay $1000 to Win! All Divisions will be competing. The All Stars will also compete in the end of the season World Final event which is also a 50 lapper paying $1000 to win!
Both the Junior Slingshots and Rookie Wingless 600 Sprints will have driver introductions on the front stretch so the fans to see the drivers in person!
The XCEL 600 Modifieds return to Hamlin every week and will have 5 Tour events throughout the season.
And finally the Wingless 600 Sprints will have one $750 to Win! (with 30 entries) event at the end of May racing dual heats, passing points, and earning a big prize!
*NEW this year is the addition of a 600 Sprint WINGLESS and WINGED Special on July 9th. Details on this event will coming soon! *First ever WINGED 600 race at Hamlin Speedway.
We will end our season points on September 10 and award our point champions the following and final week of racing on September 17.
Everyone will be glad to hear our payout scales have been re-evaluated with adjustments in place for 2022! Definitely a boost in cash will help the many costs of racing!
We have General Admission specials every event (noted on schedule). They include:
a. Five (5) Senior Citizens / Veterans Night $3 specials,
b. Three (3) Driver Autograph events where the general admission can walk into the pit area, to victory circle, to meet and greet the drivers,
c. Five (5) Car Load for $20 (max 10 people in 1 car) specials,
d. Two (2) Bring your sponsor nights! offering drivers free GA passes 2-per to offer to your sponsors for their attendance,
e. Five (5) General Admission $5 All Ages (beginning and end of season), and
f. Two (2) events in July inviting the Quarter Midget Club families from Keystone and West End, offering Free admission to come and see what their next step is in racing at Hamlin.

With any luck we can get some good NEW CLAY for the track surface prior to opening day. All help is appreciated to make 2022 the best season yet at Hamlin!
