PETERSEN MEDIA: After a long off season, the Arnold Motorsports tandem of Haley and Miranda Arnold are set to kick off their 2012 campaign Saturday night at the 81 Speedway in Park City, KS.
2011 saw the sister duo compete across the Midwest competing with various sanctioning bodies, and having their fair share of good, and bad luck.
In fact, Haley Arnold’s season came to a premature end as the Sedalia, MO teenager experienced a motor failure at the end of the summer, that relegated her to crew staff for her sister, Miranda.
“It was very tough being on the sidelines at the end of last year,” said Haley. “I hated not racing, but our family is so close I really enjoyed helping Miranda.”
It wasn’t all good for the younger Arnold, Miranda as she went through a rough stretch of DNF’s as the season ended.
Overall Miranda had a very nice season that included a career best 7th place finish with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, a 9th place finish in ASCS Warrior Region Championship standings, and was 4th in Rocket Passing Points.
“We never committed to running with any specific series in 2011, but as we ran more ASCS Warrior Region races we saw we had a chance to run in the top-ten so that became our goal, and we ended up ninth,” said Miranda Arnold.
The sister duo is very excited to get their 2012 season started during what looks like to be a very star studded NCRA season opener.
