VRA Midgets and IMCA Modifieds Get In On 2012 Contingency Program.

With the 2012 season upon us, Ventura Raceway is proud to announce the continuation of the contingency program for the VRA Midgets and the IMCA Modifieds. Started midway through the 2011 season, the following companies have allowed Ventura to offer $25 product certificates to the winner of their respective heat races.

Sander Engineering is the new sponsor of Heat #1 for the VRA Midgets. Glen Sander has been a longtime supporter of Southern California open wheel racing and he furthers that with the support of Ventura Raceway. Heat #2 is sponsored by Schroeder Racing Products. Schroeder returns to Ventura after being a heat race sponsor in 2010. Schroeder offers a wide variety of steering gear, driveshafts, and torsion bars. They also offer an extensive line of stock car products. Visit Schroeder on the web at

BR Motorsports is 3 for 3 in Heat #3 with the VRA Midgets. Already a supporter of the VRA Sprint Cars and Senior Sprints, 1992 National Sprint Car Rookie of the Year, Blake Robertson threw his support behind the new VRA Midget division last season and has continued it into 2012. Finally, West Evans Motorsports sponsors heat #4. WEM is owned by Moorpark-based TQ owner and driver, West Evans. WEM supplies parts and track service to many local Midget teams and can usually be found at Ventura for the Midget events when not out racing his own TQ. WEM can be reached at 805-304-3636

Heat #1 for the IMCA Modifieds is sponsored by Dan Wheeler’s Extreme Mufflers. Already a sponsor of the VRA Sprint Cars and a national contingency sponsor of IMCA, Extreme has been a longtime supporter of Ventura Raceway and that continues for 2012. Extreme supplies many VRA-approved Mufflers as well as IMCA-approved muffler products. Visit Extreme on the web at

Speedway Engineering sponsors IMCA Heat #2. Originally started by Frank Deiny Sr., Speedway is currently owned by Ken Sapper, both names very well known in the Southern California racing scene. Speedway manufactures and offers rear ends, sway bars, axles and much more. Visit Speedway on the web at

Local company Roper Fabrication is IMCA Heat #3 sponsor. Owned and operated by Sean Roper, Roper Fabrication is well-known in the off-road industry and they also offer fab services for IMCA Modifieds and Dwarf Cars. Visit Roper on the web at

For the VRA Midget competitor who has the hard luck throughout the night will be awarded a $100 product certificate by DJ Safety.

The competitor who can make a charge throughout the night and pass the most cars will be awarded a $50 product certificate by Weld Racing.
