MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (May 16, 2022) - Perhaps, not on paper, but Ryan Giles and TKS Motorsports are continuing to make important gains, recording more and more valuable lap time at the Sprint Car Capital of the World - Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.
During his most recent start on Saturday, May 14, Giles, ace of the Albaugh LLC/Iowa Barnstormers/deWit Construction/No. 2KS sprint car, was scored 23rd, but not without some negative luck, forced to retire after contact resulted in a spin late in the program. Despite the negative outcome, Giles started 12th and was racing in the 12th spot at the time of his incident, launching his evening with the eighth-fastest time of 34 entries, racing on to finish sixth in his respective heat race.
“We had the potential to check off that first top-ten on Saturday, but those things happen. We’re building a bigger and better notebook and that’s going to prove to be very valuable as the season continues,” Troy Renfro explained, owner of the TKS Motorsports entry. “We’re going to keep plugging away and good things will happen.”
