POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals at Central Missouri Speedway Information

Belleville, IL. (5/19/22) Adding excitement annually for one of the fastest-growing divisions under the POWRi umbrella, the always exciting POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals presented by Henchcraft of Canada returns for Memorial Day Weekend memories on May 28-29 at charming Central Missouri Speedway in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Located in Warrensburg Missouri, the well-ran quarter-mile oval of Central Missouri Speedway will host top talents from around the United States and Canada with a practice Friday, May 27th and two separate dates of racing on May 28-29 as drivers and fans alike will not want to miss out on this one-of-a-kind weekend racing event.

The POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals presented by Henchcraft of Canada will be running in a “C-B-A Feature POWRi Format” based on the number of entries with each competitor using a $10 pill-draw each night to set their heat-race starting spot.

Ten-Lap Heat races will be based on the POWRi Passing Points System, with the Top-16 drivers in passing points locked into the night’s A-Main, drivers 17-33 in heat race passing points will go into the B-Feature with the remaining competitors relegated to the C-Main.

If needed, C-Feature racing will consist of 12-Laps with the top four finishers starting rear of the B-Main, B-Feature action will be 15-Laps as the first eight finishers will advance to the tail of the night’s A-Main Event starting grid. Saturday Night’s POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals Feature will be 25-Laps with Sunday’s Championship Feature going 30-Laps.

Drivers who finish First and Second in Saturday’s event are guaranteed a starting spot in Sunday’s Main Event, if unable to qualify for Sunday’s feature. Drivers do not need to run both nights to qualify for the Sunday main event.

Admission Prices:
Pit Pass: $40 for All Ages.
General Admission: $20.
Active Military and Seniors Ages 65-74: $15.
Children +6: $6.
Children 5 and under: Free.
Seniors +75: Free.

Pit Gate: 4:30 PM
General Admission Gate: 5:00 PM
Driver's Meeting: 6:30 PM
Hot Laps: 7:00 PM, Racing to follow.

Sunday, May 29th at Central Missouri Speedway Details:
Pit Gate: 4:30 PM
General Admission Gate: 5:00 PM
Driver's Meeting: 6:30 PM
Hot Laps: 7:00 PM, Racing to follow.

Memorial Day Weekend, on May 28-29, will mark the continuation of the POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals hosted at Central Missouri Speedway by the POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints, with bonus incentives provided by Tomy Moreau courtesy of Henchcraft Canada.

For those traveling, Dry-Camping will be available at the track with No dumpsite and campers will be responsible for picking up what they brought in. Hotel rooms are available in the area with the Comfort Inn Warrensburg Station - 609 East Russell Ave, Warrensburg, MO, offering the best rates if lodgers ask for the Racers Discount.
