Torrential Rain Cancels Lucas Oil NOW600 At Tri-City Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – GRANITE CITY, Ill. (May 19, 2022) Forecasted as a passing shower turned much more than that Thursday evening when the small storm turned into a Supercell.

Unleashing a massive amount of rain at Tri-City Speedway, officials with the Illinois oval and Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division have canceled this weekend’s event as the now saturated grounds will not have enough time to dry before the next round of forecasted precipitation arrives.

The next event for the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi-Plains Building Division is the Sooner 600 Week, happening June 8-12 at Caney Valley Speedway, Creek County Speedway, Red Dirt Raceway, Port City Raceway, then back to Creek County Speedway.
