Rainfall Restricts Spring Sprint and Midget Nationals to Single Saturday Show

Eldon, MO. (5/26/22) Saturated racing grounds caused by precipitation during the week have forced Lake Ozark Speedway and POWRi officials to cancel the Friday portion of the Spring Sprint and Midget Nationals with Saturday, May 28th still going ahead as originally planned.

“The facility needs time to dry out from all the rain that we received this week,” said Kevin Greven Lake Ozark Speedway General Manager. Adding, “With the persistent rain all-day Thursday into even Friday morning, we need a full day to dry the place out, Saturday will be good to go.”

Next up on the yearly agenda for Lake Ozark Speedway will be the Final Night of the Spring Sprint & Midget Nationals on Saturday, May 28th with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV National Tour, Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League, the Lucas Oil POWRi Wingless Auto Racing Sprint League, as well as the POWRi RaceSaver Sprints for an all open-wheel docket of competition.
