(Warrensburg, Missouri) WEATHER NEWS FLASH! Officials at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) have adjusted the start times for Saturday’s action by a one-hour delay due to the high temperature and heat indices predicted for Saturday afternoon into the early evening.

After checking several models for the most up-to-date weather information, CMS believes this is the best option to keep drivers and patrons as safe as possible regarding the weather elements. Nearly every forecast model shows the actual high temperature to be between 96 and 99 degrees in the late afternoon with a predicted heat index of 105.

The revised Saturday time line looks like this: Pits will officially open at 5:30, admissions begin at 6. Driver pill draw cutoff 7:15 (no passing points awarded if driver checks in late). Pit meeting 7:30, Hot laps at 8, and racing to follow!

Admission Details: Adults $15, Active-Duty Military and Senior Citizens aged 65 to 74 $12, Kids 6 to 12 years old $6, five and under free, seniors 75 and older and individuals permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. All pit passes are $35 regardless of age.

This revised schedule worked out well last weekend, and we are hopeful for the same this week. Please plan accordingly and make sure to keep yourself hydrated. Last week, even with starting an hour late, the last checkered flag of the night fell at 10:28 p.m. Just like last week, this weekend’s action features four classes (B-Mods, Pure Stocks, Midwest Mods, and Lightning Sprints, Super Stocks are off this weekend) and we believe the race program will be nearly identical as far as flow and end times.

If you missed last week’s action, you missed out, the track was in superior condition and several drivers gave shout outs on the PA and on social media platforms after the event. Don’t let a one-hour delay deter you from attending, at CMS we keep our race program moving along!

The 22nd Annual Tom Wilson Memorial is just under three weeks away and CMS has an exciting weekend of special event racing planned for the weekend. Advertising specials are available for the two-day race special, including car class sponsorship, driver programs, track signage and large signage on the track’s large LED scoreboard and sign. Call Susan Walls for complete details and special-event advertising opportunities.
