Cole entered a single event over the weekend with a Saturday night trip to Eagle (Neb.) Raceway for an IMCA Race Saver Sprint Car event.
Twenty-one drivers entered the program at the 1/3-mile oval, and via his seventh-best point's average over the past three weeks, Vanderheiden was lined up fifth on his heat race grid.
A fifth-place finish in his heat race positioned him 15th on the starting gird for the 25-lap feature. He clawed his way forward five spots in the finale to finish 10th as he continues to improve at the Nebraska oval.
