NATIONAL MIDGETS AT GRUNDY COUNTY SATURDAY; CLOUSER WINS USAC/STARS 30-LAPPER

This Saturday’s “Freedom 100” showcases the USAC Mopar National and STARS Midget stars in a 50-lap main event on the competitive Grundy County Speedway’s one-third mile paved oval in Morris, Ill.

Point leaders Darren Hagen (USAC) and Patrick Wilda (STARS) will be out to continue their quest for championships. Hagen has a healthy lead in the Mopar National standings, while Wilda’s lead in the USAC/STARS D1 points stands at just six points over Jim Anderson.

Mario Clouser of Auburn, Ill. won last Saturday’s 30-lap USAC/STARS feature at Grundy County, leading the final 18 laps in his Rotondo Weirich/Fontana Automotive Beast/Fontana after passing Kyle O’Gara on lap 13.

Wilda finished second on Saturday, ahead of Tyler Cottongim, Anderson and Brad Greenup.
