Christian Bruno came into the 2022 Rapid Tire, USAC East Coast Sprint Car Series Season in his third year of sprint car competition, but this time in new territory as a family owned team.

Bruno and team started out the season red hot, with a runner up finish at the Bloomsburg Speedway to kick off their year, and rattled off a string of eight consecutive top ten finishes in their first eight races of the season.

The team found themselves in a difficult spot in the heat of the summer when the family owned operation suffered an engine failure at the Selinsgrove Speedway while running inside the top three. Christian Bruno Racing returned to series action in August at the rescheduled Action Track USA events and collected a top ten run in one of the twin 40 features, before rounding out the season with a top ten at Delaware International, eleventh at Winchester, and a strong eight place run at Bridgeport to end the season while battling back from a blown driveshaft in the qualifier event.

Bruno and team had a very successful season for the limited number of events that they entered, and despite the very difficult mechanical issues that they faced and overcame during the 2022 season. The now eighteen year old high school graduate raced with the best of the series regulars frequently at the front of the field in 2022, and kept up with a busy 600 schedule picking up eight feature event wins and a runner up finish in 600 Speedweek points.

The Bruno team has already purchase a new XXX chassis for 2023, and no doubt will be in contention again for more top five, and possibly feature event wins, along with having another busy 600 Sprint season.
