2023 SCHEDULE

Merrill, MI – The Great Lakes Traditional Sprints presented by PErfit is pleased to present our 2023 schedule. Purses, special events and the Michigan Mini Series will be identified in the coming weeks, but in the mean time we were excited to get our dates out to everyone so you can start marking your calendars!

After only 2 races in NW Ohio last year, we have secured 8 races for this coming year. The current schedule has 24 races at 10 different tracks. I-96 Speedway and Waynesfield Raceway Park each contributed 4 races with Hartford and Silver Bullet adding 3 each. Limaland, Fremont, Butler and Crystal all added 2 races each. Merritt and Tri-City are back on our schedule with at least a show a piece.

We kick off the Season in Ohio on April 8th at Waynesfield Raceway Park. We then travel to Michigan in May for a double header weekend at I-96 Speedway on Friday, May 12th and then a short drive up the road to Crystal Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 13th..

Memorial Day weekend we travel to Fremont on Saturday, May 27th and then travel to Waynesfield Raceway Park for a Sunday race on May 28th. We have another double header weekend to kick off June, starting on June 2nd at Limaland Motorsports Park then we make the short drive North to Butler Motor Speedway on Saturday June 3rd.

On June 9th we travel to Hartford Speedway and we are actively working on a June 10th race. The next weekend we travel to I-96 Speedway for Friday, June 16th. On Saturday, June 24th we travel to the Thumb of Michigan for our first race of the season at Silver Bullet Speedway.

Saturday, July 1st we travel back to Fremont Speedway and then off to Waynesfield for the annual Hewitt Classic on Monday, July 3rd. The next weekend we have another double header starting off the weekend at Hartford Speedway on Friday, July 7th, then travel North to Merritt Speedway for our only visit this year on Saturday, July 8th.

On Friday, July 21st we headline once again at I-96 Speedway and then travel back to the Thumb and make our second visit of the season at Silver Bullet Speedway on the 22nd. We wrap up July with another double header, racing at Limaland on July 28th on Friday, then make the short drive North to Butler Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 29th .

We kick off a thin August with a solo race at Tri-City Motor Speedway on Friday, August 4th. This race will be an all sprint race featuring all 3 Great Lakes Classes.

We make our final appearance at I-96 Speedway on Friday, August 18th
On Saturday, September 2nd we make our final appearance at Silver Bullet Speedway. Then with a week off, we travel back to Crystal Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 16th for the annual Great Lakes Nationals. Then we will wrap up our regular season the next week at Hartford Speeday on Saturday, September 23rd.

On Saturday, October 7th we’ll end our 2023 season where we started it, at Waynesfield Raceway Park.
