Mike Henry claims first Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series Victory

PETALUMA, CA – August 11, 2012: Sacramento driver Mike Henry was determined to score a win in his second appearance in the Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series after just missing a trip to victory lane by a mere .027 of a second to Bradley Terrell on July 28th.

Starting from the pole, the former two-time Civil War Champion Henry would have to hold off the challenges of Chase Johnson and Bradley Terrell throughout the event for the win. Henry also won his heat and was fast qualifier. Chase Johnson challenged Henry early and often in the early stages of the event with Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series point leader Bradley Terrell in hot pursuit.

Terrell took advantage of lapped traffic with an aggressive move to the bottom to get past Johnson in the late stages after the two battled hard for most of the race. David Lindt Jr. flipped hard in the late stages bringing out the red flag and upon the restart Henry never looked back on his way to victory lane followed by Terrell, Johnson, Koen Shaw and Billy Butler.
