PETALUMA NEXT UP FOR WESTERN MIDGETS OCTOBER 6; RUTHERFORD DOMINATES BAKERSFIELD 30-LAPPER

Petaluma (Calif.) Speedway hosts the next USAC Mopar Western Midget Series event, October 6. Shannon McQueen (overall) and David Prickett (dirt) will enter the event as the respective point leaders.

Troy Rutherford of Ojai, Calif. led wire-to-wire in his Calvin Martens entry to win Saturday night’s 30-lapper at Bakersfield (Calif.) Speedway. Ronnie Gardner took second ahead of Prickett, Cody Swanson and Robby Josett. Fast qualifier McQueen finished eighth.

McQueen’s lead over Prickett in the overall standings is 139 points, while Prickett holds a 41-point lead over Shannon in the dirt standings.
