Mulch Express of Wisconsin returns with second Plymouth All Star-IRA Gr8 Challenge

(NEWTON, WIS.) June 1, 2023 – For the second consecutive year, Mulch Express of Wisconsin will contribute bonus money for the annual Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions – Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Shootout event at The Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, Wis. with the second annual Gr8 Challenge presented by Mulch Express of Wisconsin this Saturday, June 3.

The Gr8 Challenge presented by Mulch of Express of Wisconsin will offer a $100 reward to the leader of lap 8 of the $26,000-to-win Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions-Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association Rayce Rudeen Foundation A-main event and a total bonus of $500 if the driver that leads lap 8 goes on to win the A-main event.

The sixth appearance of Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions Series at The Plymouth Dirt Track third-mile clay is expected to draw a stellar field of top national and regional Sprint Car drivers, including two-time defending All Star champion and current points leader Tyler Courtney of Indianapolis, Ind., 2022 IRA champ and current IRA points leader Jordan Goldesberry of Springfield, Ill. and two-time defending Plymouth All Star race winner and 10-time IRA champion Bill Balog of Hartland, Wis.

In addition, National Sprint Car Hall of Famer Lance Dewease of Fayetteville, Pa., 2022 national Winged 410 Sprint Car A-main victory leader Anthony Macri of Dillsburg, Pa. and 2022 national Winged 410 Sprint Car prize money leader Brent Marks of Myerstown, Pa. are expected to make their first career visits to The Plymouth Dirt Track, while Rico Abreu of St. Helena, Calif. has also indicated that he will be in attendance at The Plymouth Dirt Track to vie for the $26,000 first place prize.

“We are happy to again have Mulch Express of Wisconsin to be involved in this event at The Plymouth Dirt Track,” Mulch Express of Wisconsin owner Russ Wetenkamp said. “This year’s event will bring even more of the top Sprint Car drivers in the country and region to our area with the Rayce Rudeen Foundation race returning to Plymouth for the first time since 2020. We have a strong connection to Sprint Car racing after several years of competing locally in the 360 Sprint Car division with the number Gr8 car, so being involved with this big event is really a perfect fit for us. We are looking forward to another great night of Sprint Car racing.”

Bill Balog captured last year’s Mulch Express of Wisconsin Gr8 Challenge by leading lap 8 and going on to win the All Star-IRA A main.

Along with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions and Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Cars, the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing-Midwest Sprint Car Association 360 Sprint Cars will also be on the card for the all-Sprint Car event.

Spectator gates open at 4:30 p.m. with on-track action and hot laps slated to begin at 5:30 p.m.
