Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (June 5, 2023) – Jack Dover returns to a familiar track on Tuesday for a High Limit Sprint Car Series event presented by Durst.
Dover will pilot his No. 53 sprint car at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., which is a track where he cut his teeth racing sprint cars.
“I’m excited, but also it’s nerve wracking because it’s where I grew up and won a lot of races,” he said. “I feel the pressure is on and that I’m expected to do well. I’m racing against the best in the country. It’s going to be a tough race, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
Dover became the youngest Nebraska Cup winner when he captured the achievement at Eagle Raceway in 2007 and he won the famed Eagle Nationals at the track in 2011. However, Dover has limited laps at the high-banked track the last few years.
“The track hasn’t changed,” he said. “The people I’m racing against are different and it’s in the 410. I’ll just take it as another race and we’ll try our hardest. However, it turns out is how it turns out. If we make the A Feature that’d be an awesome night.”
Tuesday marks only the second race of the season for Dover in his sprint car. He posted a runner-up result during an ASCS National Tour race last month.
