MWRA Doubles Down This Weekend at Lakeside and I-35!

KCK: This Friday night June 16th, and Saturday night June 17th, the Wholesale Batteries MWRA Sprint Cars will double up to race on consecutive nights at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, and Winston, Missouris, I-35 Speedway respectively.

After rain spoiled the fun last weekend at the North Central Kansas Fairgrounds in Belleville, this weekend's Double Dip will represent races number 6 and 7, on the “Road To A Championship” with the Midwest Wingless Racing Association in 2023. While the first-place finisher in the final standings for the year will take home 10,000 dollars from title sponsor Wholesale Batteries.

So far in the first five showdowns this season, Lone Jack, Missouri racer Braydon Cromwell, Topeka, Kansas, chauffeur Wyatt Burks. (Twice), Spring Hill, KS, wheelman Chad Goff, and Owasso, Oklahoma, gas masher Ty Hulsey, have “parked it” in victory lane with this USAC Series in 2023.

The “Cowboy” Cromwell, holds a slim 10-point lead over the “Sheriff” Burks in 2nd, and 45 points ahead of Kearney, MO’s, Brad Wyatt currently 3rd. With teammates from Gladstone, MO, Chad Winfrey 4th, and Chris Parkinson 5th, rounding out the top 5 at this time.

This weekend's venues Lakeside Speedway, and I-35 Speedway Winston, have become mainstays during the first 3 years of the MWRA conducting 13 race meets. With Wyatt Burks, winning twice at Lakeside, and three times at I-35 during that span to lead the pack with (5) victories. While others to find victory lane during that time include Kory Schudy (3), as well as Don Droud Jr., Riley Kreisel, Jack Wagner, Wesley Smith, and Luke Howard, with one each.

Join us this Friday at Lakeside, and Saturday at I-35, for a double header not to be missed.
