KCK: Friday night at Lakeside Speedway Wyatt Burks of (Topeka, KS) took his 3rd victory of the season in the Wholesale Batteries USAC MWRA Sprint Series in dominating fashion. With 2nd place Dakota Earls (Independence, MO) and (Lone Jack, MO) driver Braydon Cromwell, grabbing the final spot on the podium at the Kansas City, Kansas dirt track. While Luke Howard (Overland Park, KS) in 4th, battled Chris Parkinson (Gladstone MO,) who came home 5Th, lap after lap until the double checkered flags were waved.

The Wyatt Burks Racing 11w, was on point all night long as “The Sheriff” was number one in passing points after the heat races, but rolled a (2) putting him in the second row inside for the feature. By lap number seven Burks however had blasted into first place and would lead to the finish besting second place Earls by (4.709) seconds, while lapping up to 3rd by the races end in the 25 lapper that went green from start to finish.

Second place Earls would have his finest night ever in a sprint car with this USAC series as he won the first Heat race, and followed that up by leading in the feature early before being passed by Burks to finish a career best second place. Meanwhile, Cromwell would fight his way to another podium after starting 7th in the 25 lap feature, and Howard finished 4th after earlier winning heat race number 2.

The second half of the top 10 on this night was led by Chad Goff who would finish 6th in the Lewis Racing 2x, with Bonham, Texas, chauffeur Kobe Simpson, earning the Midwest Wingless Racing Association “Hard Charger” award after driving from 13th to 7th in the A feature, followed by Brad Wyatt in 8th, Chad Winfrey 9th, and Warren Wojo Johnson rounding out the top 10 racing for Rick Smith.

Other awarded drivers on this night besides Simpson were, Chad Tye taking the Valor Racing Bonus, and Tom Curran receiving the “Hard Luck” award courtesy of Xtreme Color.
