Last Night 19 410 Sprintcars arrived for the fnal race before the Christmas Swing.
The SCR9 team was unlucky to be beaten last time at this venue, and Steve Caunt was determined to not let that happen again.
In heat 1 Steve started from P6. A racey Surface lap times were low, Steve scored a P3 Finish Behind Damien Abbot and Sean Dyson.
Heat 3 was a P3 start, and the best steve could manage was a P2 Finish behind Glen Saville. The track now was Slick and had no cush to lean on of signiificance.
The stand out Performers of the night so far was USA Cody Kinser and Sydneys Troy Little.
With the Dash cancelled due to time, it was stright in to the 30 Lap Feature.
Being second on points for the night gained the #9 car a P2 front row start.
Steve tried to drag P1 Glen Saville from the start but coudnt risk being hung high, steve dropped in behind, Glen Saville gained a half straight lead, however after 10 laps the #9 KPC Garrett car reeled in the #75 Saville car and took him in traffic at the same time USA star Cody Kinser took Caunt.
Luckily an amber relegated Caunt back to Pole position.
On the Restart Caunt made no errors, another amber with 8 to go seen Steve Caunt run away and finished with an outside move on lapped cars to seal a safety margin to second placed Kinser.
At the chequeres Steve Caunt took the Victory followed by USA#42 Cody Kinser and Sydneys Tim Evans.
On the podium Steve thanked his hard working crew who fought thru the heat to get an awesome car for the Feature.
The SCR9 team now heads to Adelaide for Round 1 Boxing Day of World series Sprintcars.
