Coming off a three-week break, Waylon Phillips returned to the driver’s seat of his Taff’s Carpets No. 67JR A-Class and Non-Wing Micros for the weekly racing event at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex (Sweet Springs, Mo.).
With impressive runs in both heat races sitting him on the front row for the main events, Phillips backed up a ninth-to-third run in his Non-Wing heat with a runner-up finish in the feature.
He raced to his second podium of the night with a runner-up showing in the A-Class A-Main after passing four cars in his A-Class heat. He chased Aubrey Smith across the line with Jaden Alexander, Thomas Hassler, and Landon Muehlberger coming in fifth.
