BRANDON, S.D. (August 28, 2023) Producing a season that was just shy of magical, Cole Vanderheiden's second year in a Sprint Car saw him very much in contention for the RaceSaver Sprint Car Championship at Huset's Speedway, with his run coming to a close this past Sunday just one point shy.
Second to Lee Goos, Jr., the difference came down to one win, which Goos earned on Sunday night.
Lee second and Cole third, the pair would have tied at that point, with Cole getting the nod; however, Goos was able to capture the lead on Lap 17. Racing as hard as he could; the final result was a third-place finish.
With the season wrapping up at Huset's, the team's focus turns back to the state of Nebraska and the 11th annual IMCA RaceSaver Nationals.
