Ryan Timms cruises in Firemen's Nationals lidlifter at Angell Park

Kicking off a busy Labor Day weekend that saw him compete in four events and pick up one win, Ryan Timms visited Paragon Speedway (Paragon, Ind.) on Friday evening to pilot the Keith Kunz / Curb-Agajanian Motorsports No. 67 Midget with the Xtreme Outlaw Midgets.

With a fourth-place finish in his heat positioning him on the fourth row for the opener, Timms clawed forward one spot in the 20-lapper to register a sixth-place finish.

Back at the 3/8-mile oval on Saturday, Ryan followed up the fourth-fastest qualifying lap in his group with a heat win. Starting the feature in fifth, Timms led a total of 21 laps but was collected in a tangle in the closing laps that dropped him to second.

For the opening round of the Firemen’s Nationals on Sunday, Timms trekked to Angell Park Speedway (Sun Prairie, Wis.) where he topped the speed charts overall with a blistering 14.366-second lap before coming in first in his heat. Regaining the top spot from Gavin Miller on lap 23 in the feature after leading laps 20 and 21, Ryan paced the final seven circuits to secure his sixth win of the season. He pocketed a $5,000 payday ahead of Miller, Jade Avedisian, Logan Seavey, and Daniel Whitley.

On Monday, Ryan’s fourth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the sixth row for the finale. Muscling forward two spots in the 30-lap affair, Timms posted a ninth-place performance.
