Subject: Two USAC Stars set to participate in the Inaugural Honest Abe Roofing Maverick Wing
Sprint Car Series Race.
Two of USAC best traditional sprint car stars have announced their intention to compete
at the inaugural Honest Abe Roofing Maverick Wing Sprint Car Series event slated for Friday,
October 6 at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana.
Cullman, Alabama native Kevin Thomas Jr. is the author of thirty-nine USAC sprint car
wins but has extensive wing sprint car experience. In early September Thomas carried a wing
410 sprint car to victory at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri.
Brady Bacon is a four-time USAC sprint car champion and this year the Broken Arrow,
Oklahoma superstar moved into sole possession of second place in all-time USAC wins. His 53
series victories stand second only to Dave Darland. Bacon is also no stranger to wing sprint car
racing. Over the course of his career Bacon has notched wins with the ASCS, the All Star Circuit
of Champions and in late April he topped the World of Outlaws at Tri-State Speedway in
Haubstadt, Indiana,
A $32,000 purse will be posted with a $6,000 top prize going to the winner of the 30-lap main
event.
The October 6 race schedule is as follows.
