WESTBROOK TAKES SOS WIN ON NIGHT ONE OF HUMBERSTONE'S FALL CLASSIC

PORT COLBORNE, Ont. (September 29, 2023) – Dylan Westbrook extended his lead in the 2023 Southern Ontario Sprints championship standings with a win on Friday night at Humberstone Speedway.

Westbrook took the lead early in the 25 lap A-Main and held off charges from Liam Martin and DJ Christie in heavy traffic to take the win on night one of The Fall Classic. Martin and Christie settled for podium finishes, while Matt Farnham and Ryan Turner rounded out the top five. Shone Evans, Nick Sheridan, Glenn Styres, Mitch Brown, and Jim Huppunen took top ten finishes.

Westbrook's win was worth $3,000 thanks to event sponsor Glenn Styres Racing. Westbrook also took the $100 Ackland Insurance Quick Time Award, while Sheridan's drive from row seven earned him the $150 Trailer Pros Canada Hard Charger Award.

About the Southern Ontario Sprints tour: Founded in 1996, the Southern Ontario Sprints series is a traveling winged 360 Sprint Car tour based in Ontario, Canada. Each points-paying event on the 2023 schedule will pay a minimum of $2,000-to-win and $250-to-start, while a dozen events will pay $2,500-to-win or more, including five Nitro 54 Variety Super Series events paying at least $3,000-to-win.
