Making the haul from western Indiana to New Jersey, Bryce Norris found himself at Bridgeport Motorsports Park (Bridgeport, N.J.) on Friday evening to kick off the two-day Octoberfest with Friday’s preliminary program.
After a blown motor during his hot lap session forced his crew to audible and replace the engine, Norris was still able to make it out for the prelim where he drove from 12th-to-8th in the 20-lapper.
On Saturday, Bryce squeezed into the $15,000-to-win Octoberfest finale with a seventh-to-fifth showing in his heat. Starting on the eighth row, Norris rolled to a consistent 15th-place finish in the 35-lap affair.
