Meet Advanced Fastening Supply BMARA Driver, Robby Wirth

Like several of our drivers, Robby Wirth comes to Badger via a start in racing with the venerable Badger Kart Club of Dousman, WI. He's a former MSA 360 winged sprint car Rookie of the Year and finished 24th in points for his rookie season (2023) with the AFS Badger Midget Series.

BMARA: Were you a fan of racing before you got behind the wheel?

WIRTH: I've been in racing my whole life.

BMARA: Give us a synopsis of your racing career:

WIRTH: I started out racing go karts at Badger Kart Club then race 600cc micro sprints in Indiana. I moved up to the Midwest Sprint Association 360's and won Rookie of the Year. Now we are running midgets with Badger.

BMARA: How much time do you spend on the car each week during the season?

WIRTH: 3-4 days a week.

BMARA: What is your day job and how does racing fit in?

WIRTH: It fits pretty well, I'm a full-time racer.

BMARA: What's something interesting the fans might not know about you?

WIRTH: I used to race RC cars at Trackside Hobbies and worked at ETE Engine & Transmission Exchange as a transmission rebuilder. Now I'm a full-time race car driver.
