BMARA: Were you a fan of racing before you got behind the wheel and if so, who were your heroes and what tracks did you attend?

TAYLOR: I was 6 when started racing go karts.

BMARA: Give us a synopsis of your racing career.

TAYLOR: I started racing karts when I was 6 years old. Move to Allison Legacy cars when I was 13. When I turn 16 I moved to NASCAR Late Models. Got back into karting around 2011. Drove a midget for the first time on asphalt in 2015. The end of 2016 I ran my first ever race on dirt in a midget and never looked back.

BMARA: How much time do you spend on the car each week during the season?

TAYLOR: Unfortunately I don’t get to spend as much time as I would like to working on the car, as it is kept at Dennis Jones' house.

But I can tell you that he doesn’t skip out on anything when it comes to working on or building our cars. He and Larry Spray put all of their time into keeping and maintaining the car to make sure it is ready for the next race. I can’t thank them enough for that!

BMARA: What is your day job and how does racing fit in?

TAYLOR: I work for a company called Girtz Industries and we build and test backup generators for all over the world.
