HEFTY $17,000 410 SPRINT POINT FUND GUARANTEED FOR EIGHT RACE SERIES AT BAPS MOTORSPEEDWAY

YORK HAVEN, Pa.: A year ago, BAPS Motor Speedway had its best 410 Sprint Car season on record. The events were bigger, car counts were up, and the racing on the track didn’t disappoint. There was also a nice point fund in place to reward drivers who made the York Haven facility a regular stop on their schedule.

For the 2024 and 70th anniversary season, the 410-point fund at BAPS Motor Speedway makes a popular return. General Manager Kolten Gouse has announced that this year’s title chase winner will receive $5,000. The point fund will pay ten spots, with 5th receiving $1,350 and 10th taking home $750.
“Drivers and teams came out last year to support our 410 events,” Gouse said. “I believe the sponsors of the point fund was a big part of the 2023 season success, and we appreciate their continued support to bring it back again for 2024.
“It gives us a chance to reward drivers who support the speedway with a little more money than a simple purse. A big thank you goes out to the race teams and our point fund sponsors: RV 4-Wheel Drive and Performance Automotive, Denk Electric, Emory Transmission, and our Pay-Per-View provider- SprintCarUnlimited.tv for making this possible.”

This year’s schedule features nine 410 Sprint Car events, eight of which will be full point events. The July 24 World of Outlaws Bricker Bash will not be a point race for the 410 division.

This Sunday’s Pressurized H-2-O Night featuring the 410 and 358 Sprints kicks off the season. A pair of events highlight April, with a 410 Sprint Car, Late Model, and Wingless Super Sportsman taking the track on April 14, and the 358 Modifieds joining the 410s two weeks later.

The 410s and 305 Sprints are back for CH Recovery Night presented by UPMC on May 19. Engler Machine and Tool is on board for the June 30 Pennsylvania Speedweek spectacular, which is presented by Hoseheads.com.
Three events highlight the 2024 season close out events. The HVAC Distributors Inc. Kevin Gobrecht Classic takes place September 21, with the EK Services Britton Finkenbinder Memorial presented by Denk Electric on tap for October 26. The season concludes with the Heavy Equipment Loaders and Parts Sprint Showdown on November 16.

“We made a couple of changes to our schedule, and we are excited by the 410 Sprint Car events,” Gouse said. “Not only do we get to showcase the area’s top teams, but we also have a variety of support divisions on the card with the Sprints that will get exposure in front of bigger crowds.

“Things really came together with the schedule and the point fund. We are looking forward to exciting racing for the drivers and teams, as well as the fans in attendance.”
