Friday April, 26th will be the start of the 2013 URC season and return to were it all started for Dan Mazy. The 25 year old wheel got his racing career started at the 3/8 Mile clay oval some 6 years ago in the roadrunner division. After a year or so it was apparent to the racing family that more speed was necessary. Mother Peach and Father Mark mazy made the commitment to sponsor the racing attack through the family owned business AGM Timber Service. " We decided modified racing would be a good way to introduce power into our small racing team " , Said Dan. After three years of racing Modifieds and three feature wins at the New Egypt Speedway, Mazy decided it was time to chase his dream of racing winged sprint cars.
In 2012 the team purchased the Pancho's Speed Shop house car, and a fresh Don Ott 360 to pursue the URC rookie of the year title. By the end of his rookie season mazy had seen 14 different speedways including the famed Eldora Speedway. And competed in threee different touring series.
2012 was a season of learning new habits, new cars, engines, and fellow competitors. After taking notes and building confidence, results started showing. Mazy and the Dead-a-Head Motorsports team captured their goal of becoming the 2013 URC Rookie of the year, and also put a huge notch in the belt by qualifying for the World of Outlaws feature A main event during Super Dirt Week at Rolling Wheels.
