Butler, Missouri: This Friday Night April 19th at Electric City Speedway, and Saturday night April 20th, I-70 Speedway, the Wholesale Batteries USAC MWRA Sprint Cars will do battle once again in races number 2, and 3, of the 2024 campaign.
Running at ECS, the MWRA will compete in the first of 6 programs at the Butler, Missouri speed plant in 2024 on Friday night, with all being full points shows. This will be the 3rd race for this USAC series at Electric City. Last year, Lone Jack, (Mo) driver Braydon Cromwell would win his first ever MWRA race in the lid lifter on April 21st. While Kory Schudy of Battlefield, (Mo) would take his third race in a row with the MWRA at ECS on July 28th
Traveling to I-70 Speedway, Odessa, (Mo) on Saturday night for the Open Wheel Classic, the MWRA non winged sprints will join the POWRi WAR Sprints, and the WINS Series, for a show up points only affair. This event was also conducted last season on April 29th at I-70, with now three-time Midwest Champ Wyatt Burks of Topeka, (Ks) blasting to a impressive win over future 2023 WAR champ Jack Wagner of Lone Jack, Mo.
After one event ran at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, (Mo) on Saturday April 6th, Schudy, driving the Jon Sawyer Racing 28 is the early point leader over Taylor Walton, Luke Howard, Zach Clark, Chris Parkinson, Kobe Simpson, Mark Lane, Junior Parkinson, Dean Bowers, and Wyatt Burks. While Kory Schudy’s (9th) feature event win all-time with the MWRA in the first race of 2024 is 3rd most in Series history, trailing only Burks with (16) and Wesley Smith (10).
