CAN MILLER REPEAT AT BEAR RIDGE?

Ray Miller’s victory in the 2013 USAC DMA Midget opener at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt. marked a signature moment in USAC’s 57-year history. His win at age 72 makes him one of the more experienced USAC winners of all time.

The win left him with an eight-point lead over Scott Viets entering this coming Saturday night’s series resumption at the quarter-mile dirt oval.

He became the seventh different race winner in the series’ three-year history. Inaugural champion Joe Krawiec has seven series wins, compared to 2012 champion Kevin Chaffee’s three. Scott Holcomb also has three, while Dana Shaw, Dean Christensen and Jeff Champagne also have one each.

2013 USAC DMA MIDGET POINTS: 1-Ray Miller-136, 2-Scott Veits-128, 3-Kevin Chaffee-120, 4-Joe Krawiec-112, 5-Dean Christensen-106, 6-Adam Whitney-92, 7-Josh Sunn-90, 8-Jamie Spaulding-84, 9-Dylan Duhaime-76, 10-Mike Chaffee-72.
