SSP Has First Fan Appreciation Night Presented By Knecht's On Deck

Banks, Oregon- Fans of Sunset Speedway Park will be in for a treat this Saturday May 18th. Knecht’s Auto Parts will present the action for Fan Appreciation Night. During the course of the night all the cars will be brought out on the race track to allow fans to get up close with their favorite drivers for photos and autographs. There will be two such events in 2013 with the second occurring later in the season on June 15th. Classes in action this weekend will include the Northwest Wingless Tour, Northwest Extreme Sprints, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Midgets.

Last week Sterling Kane held off a hard charging Mitch Hoffses to win the Northwest Wingless Tour feature. The series has had a total of three events with Kyle Miller and Kyle Mehner both earning victories the other races when the tour was down in Cottage Grove. In the Northwest Extreme Sprints the aforementioned Hoffses has managed to win both races that have been ran so far at SSP.

In the two IMCA Modified races that have been ran so far there have been two different main event winners. Jeremy Martin and Kenny Miller have both managed to visit the winner’s circle in the division. Craig Loomis has won two of the three Street Stock features this year. Marc Farrar was victorious action last week to bring Loomis’ win streak to a halt.

For Saturday’s action the front gates open up at 3:30 PM with racing scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. Admission is Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military $10.00, Children (6-12) $5.00, Children (5 and Under) FREE, and Family Pack (Two Adults and Two Children) $30.00.
