Sunday night brough about another season at Husets Speedway in Brandon, SD. JRR and Jimco Motorsports were on hand pulling double duty on the first night as Jody stepped into the Wasmund Racing 5W car in the 360 class as well as their own 410. In the 360 Jody placed 2nd in his heat and started 9th in the A feature. In the feature Jody was able to make his way into the top 4 before rubber came down and that is where he finished. "It was a good first night with the Wasmund team. We able to get the car to roll around nice and make up some ground and get a nice finish. I look forward to running with them some more throughout the season." In the 410 class Jody finished 5th in his heat race and started 5th in the A feature. In the feature the track was completely wore out and was one lane around the bottom. While running in the top 5 most the race on a restart the car infront of Jody had mechanical problems and Jody got caught up behind him allowing a few cars to get by him. The caution was thrown but officials deemed that a lap was completed and Jody would lose those spots and wound up finishing in 8th place. "We definitely had a top 5 car, but circumstances beyond our control kept us from that."
